Join the EFPF ecosystem ... Get financial support through Open Call Funding

EFPF has allocated 2.5 Million Euros to provide Financial Support to third parties for open experimentation over the federated EFPF platform. The EFPF project will initiate an open call towards the end of 2020, inviting manufacturing companies, digital solution providers, software developers and researchers to carry out experiments related to the development, prototyping, integration and validation of innovative solutions using EFPF platform.

EFPF is offering technological and financial support to manufacturing companies, particularly SMEs and mid-caps, to experiment with innovative digital manufacturing solutions, Industry 4.0 processes and innovative business models ...

The open call for experimentation will support two types of experiments:

  • Experiments for the development, testing, validation or utilization of digital manufacturing applications and services. This includes:

    • Experiments focusing on the applications and validating the EFPF solutions in real-world digital manufacturing and supply chain scenarios

    • Experiments that develop new tools or solutions, either by using the EFPF SDK or combining the functionalities of existing EFPF solutions. The newly developed solution must be demonstrated/piloted in a real-world scenario

  • Experiments for the enhancement of EFPF ecosystem through the integration of innovative solutions

    • Experiments that integrate 3rd applications in the EFPF federation . Experiment must provide validation scenario to demonstrate the seamless access and utilisation of the 3rd party system/application by EFPF services and users

    • Experiments that focus on the integration of 3rd party platforms (with their user communities) in the EFPF federation through agreements on security framework (e.g. single-sign-on, user authorisation, rights management etc). The emphasis here is to provide EFPF users with wider access to smart factory and digital manufacturing solutions
